All the things Michael mentioned will need to be addressed in due course, along with a number of others. I'm conscious that we shouldn't bowl head-long into detailed analysis right now without first agreeing with the Business Analysis SC how we mean to proceed overall (which is why I've copied John in on this). We need to co-ordinate our work, and I think there will be a natural delay before the BASC can begin to give us some steers, during which time I think we need to arm ourselves with appropriate knowledge and share our experiences (good or bad) of practical matters. By the time we get some guidance from BASC I would hope that collectively we have a body of knowledge and experience that we can begin to put to good use right away in the right context. As a starter, I'm going to try to put together a summary of our experiences in the UK, from a technical perspective, of three years of operational experience with a growing list of on-line services to a point where we are now planning for compulsory e-filing for certain services. Comments please, both on the approach and on suitable areas of technical interest to throw into the pot. I'll endorse Michael's detailed suggestions for aspects of UBL and ebXML and add OAGIS and of course the OECD STF Schemas. Once we've agreed on a list of technologies worthy of examination it'll be homework time!
