XBRL GL in Action at HUD/FHA Interoperability and Reusability The Federal Housing Administration (FHA), an agency of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), wants to improve its cash management and funds control processes. The current environment includes multiple steps and manually intensive reconciliation of data from disparate feeder systems. XBRL GL, the Journal Taxonomy, will be instrumental in their movement toward simplification and automation. In this months call, you will learn how XBRL GL is being used to Achieve interoperability between different applications through an open, non-proprietary standard Facilitate reconciliation between summary and detailed data (and back) Allow one-time data entry and reuse of transaction data to support downstream integration, interfacing, business analysis and reporting Provide the potential to exchange data in a standard format with external information systems Presented by: Gianluca Garbellotto Gianluca Garbellotto is the XBRL business manager for Dynamic Access Systems (DAS). DAS is a Silver Spring, Maryland (USA) based company that has delivered business process outsourcing services and technology to Government and business since 1982. As an active member of the XBRL GL Workgroup, he has contributed significantly to the current release of the XBRL GL taxonomy and to other related official XBRL International technical documents, and has participated as a speaker or a trainer in a number of conferences and events.
