Subject: Public Review of OASIS ebCore Party Id Type Technical Specification Version 1.0 - 15 day review
| To OASIS members, Public Announce Lists: The OASIS ebXML Core (ebCore) TC has recently approved the following specification as a Committee Draft and approved the package for public review: OASIS ebCore Party Id Type Technical Specification Version 1.0 A mechanism for the identification of business partners in XML business docuemnts and XML message headers based on URN-based identifier types is required in many electronic business exchanges. This specification provides a formal URN-based mechanism for referencing party types from identification scheme catalogs using the OASIS URN namespace. The public review starts today, 25 August 2010, and ends 9 September 2010. This specification was previously submitted for a 60-day public review on 14 April 2010 [1]; this 15-day review is limited in scope to changes made from the previous review. All changes are highlighted/indicated in the accompanying change log/noted in the change log contained in the appendix. This is an open invitation to comment. We strongly encourage feedback from potential users, developers and others, whether OASIS members or not, for the sake of improving the interoperability and quality of OASIS work.
