Thanks for the response. It’s very much my intention to localise this draft a bit more to EA with examples and change of language etc, but to do that I will need their help. I’m still waiting on their initial reaction so let’s see what they feel about the overall direction before we get into the next layer of detail.

Hi John,

I’ve just had a read of this and feel that it needs to move a little closer to the EA community and further from its TGF roots if it is to be attractive to the former audience. They will need to refer to the TGF(the PL at least) when using it.

Perhaps one way my suggestion might be able to be achieved would be by providing EA-specific examples when going though the patterns. I appreciate that this will the paper a bit longer but feel that it would be worth the effort – perhaps carried out during a teleconf with your EA colleagues?

Attached is my first draft of the Emergency Alerting TGF Profile. This is the first profile we have done of the Transformational Government Framework so your initial reactions to the format and content would be appreciated in addition to any more detailed comments.

You will see that I have flagged up a number of questions ( see [DNs]) throughout the document where more work is necessary. We will need to decide how best to take these parts forward, maybe a series of working calls might be best.

Can I have your initial thoughts by 27^th July please and I’ll then to book some working calls.

Norm/Elysa – at this stage I’d like to keep this to just my TC plus yourselves but in due course I will open it up to review by the other members of the Montreal workshop planning committee before we go out for Public Review.
