Subject: OASIS TGF STANDARD BALLOT

Following the closure of the Public Review, now is the time to start canvassing support for the membership vote.  As I said on the last TC call, we will need a minimum of approx 50 member organisations to vote Yes, with no negatives votes, to gain approval.  Please ensure that you / your primary rep votes.  And should you wish to approach other contacts if you are stuck for any alternative wording, I would suggest using the following wording, suitably personalised, in any emails you send.  I don’t think it matters if we duplicate efforts on this, it will only show the strength of our desire to gain approval.   You can see the full list of organisations who are entitled to vote at the following recent OASIS Standard ballot  https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/voting/ballot.php?id=2366

Suggested wording:

“I’ve been a member of the Transformational Government Framework (TGF) TC for the last (18) months and we have now produced a new standard for the delivery of public services.  A ballot will open very shortly to approve this as a new OASIS Standard and I would really appreciate it if you could support us in this effort and (cast your vote) (ask your OASIS primary rep to cast their vote) in favour of us.

The TGF reflects the experience of seasoned practitioners, and lessons learnt, over the last decade of putting public services online and sets out a whole new paradigm to improve the ease with which citizens and businesses can use these services.  It is already being used in different parts of the world and we hope by gaining OASIS Standard approval we can encourage more public administrations to become more efficient by using it.

Thank you in advance for your support.”

Thanks for your efforts and here’s hoping for a succesful outcome,
