Attached is Working Draft 01 of the proposed document.
This is intentionally short – for reasons around copyright and IP (OASIS and ISO), we cannot at this stage go in to much detail or cite from each other’s works. The intention of this document is just to open the door for discussions with
JTC 1/SC 40.
If approved, this would allow Geoff Clark as liaison to argue the case for a mapping exercise and allow this TC access to the core ISO standards concerned in order to conduct the mapping ourselves; or in conjunction with the relevant SC40
working group.
I am currently on vacation and will not be able to join Thursday’s call but I do not feel that there is anything controversial in the document. Furthermore, and for the same reason, the TC can legitimately skip a Public Review and adopt
the document as a CN through the usual ballot process. I would strongly support this approach as there is nothing to be gained from a public review at this stage.
