Hi,

After a turbulent XTM meeting in Paris the group is still togther, Steve
Newcomb and Michel Biezinski are still involved after threating to begin a
competing process (XTM Now!).

However, the peace brokering worked out that Steve Pepper and I will be the
new Editors of the XTM documents (Specifications). With chair
responsibilities passing to Eric Freese of Isogen.

It is not public knowledge, but TopicMaps.org plans to release a document to
W3C for consideration as a W3C NOTE. This will hopefully further fuel the
topicmap / rdf harmonisation process, increase awareness of topicmaps and
get topicmaps involved in the W3C's semantic web initiative.
