Subject: Re: [xtm-wg] A little competition near or in our space

I have been playing with Cmap for a while now. I don't see anything in the
runtime or on the web site that says it is patented. Novak is claiming a
(tm) for Concept Map in some of his writing.

There exists another Java concept mapper, fully open source, kindof slick.
It's at http://www.cpsc.ucalgary.ca/~robertof/jKSImapper/

This is all part of Rob Kremer's group that has been doing a lot of stuff
with Concept Maps for quite a while now.

I personally think that when the Concept Mappers discover XTM, they'll
import it, and, if Novak pushes his trademark, they might shift to calling
them Topic Maps. What a concept!
