Steve Pepper brought this up in the meeting on Saturday, and we had some
lively and productive discussion.

I'm currently in the process of updating language.xtm as per the new
three letter codes, and will be providing backward compatibility with
the current language.xtm two-letter ones. I'll also be updating the
country.xtm topic map as per changes there too. The topic map is almost
done, but I need to finish up the report.

I expect to publishing these two updates as well as a Technical Report
describing best practice usage, entitled "Internationalization in XTM",
which should be available within a week or so.

BTW, it's only in Beta because I labelled it as such, knowing that I
needed to deal with the three letter codes. Its status is a bit
ambiguous, since it's a normative part of the XTM 1.0 Specification.
This is why I must assure backwards compatibility in its update.
