I don’t have all the requested information back yet – but thought it would be good to address some of your questions.     

 

·         Given the group’s interest in CIOs – we might want to consider presenting TOSCA at one of the CDM Media CIO Summits.  These are smaller, focused events – so an interop demo presentation would work well.  We are a co-sponsor of a few 2013 CIO Summits.  I am already looking into co-sponsoring more in 2014.  Their next one is:  CIO Summit Europe, 9-11 March, London, UK - http://www.ciosummit.eu/";>http://www.ciosummit.eu/.  Take a quick look at their events, and let me know what you think.



·         As I mentioned, we are contact with the folks at both Gartner and Interop.  Both have promised to send me estimates this week.  I’ll pass them along ASAP.  In the meantime, we should consider drafting up a proposal (especially since Cloud Connect around the corner).  It can’t hurt to submit a proposal either way.  And it will be nice to have one on file.  Below is a copy of a previous TOSCA abstract for review.  The key will be to keep the proposal very user focused – and a little less technical.  Let me know who we should work with on the proposal?  



·         And finally, Interop/CloudConnect…Unfortunately, we haven’t attended the Interop event yet.  It’s been on our list though.   It’s a larger event and I am not surprised to see that they merged Cloud Connect into it.  Both events are run by the UBM Tech group.  Interop usually attracts around 5,000-7,000 attendees, which is a much larger audience than CC.  Interop does appear to be a more generally focused event – but that might change with the CC influence.  At a min, we should consider submitting a proposal for the CC portion.  Once UBM sends along the booth space pricing for Interop – we can make a better decision on whether it makes sense.  I do suspect their prices will be high – given their location.
