Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (TOSCA-58) confusion of the opertions used in Plan
[ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/TOSCA-58?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=31308#action_31308 ] Thomas Spatzier commented on TOSCA-58: --------------------------------------- Right, I also stumbled over the same paragraph recently. I think the Service Template API could be the "portability API" Frank has introduced recently. Since this is not in the spec and will likely move into a later version of TOSCA, I will just remove this reference. I will incorparate #1 above in wd-12. > confusion of the opertions used in Plan > --------------------------------------- > > Key: TOSCA-58 > URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/TOSCA-58 > Project: OASIS Topology and Orchestration Specification for Cloud Applications (TOSCA) TC > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: Spec > Affects Versions: CSD05 > Reporter: Paul Zhang > > In the first paragraph of Chapter 11 (WD-11), there is a sentence "The execution of a step can be performed by one of the functions offered via the interfaces of a Node Template, by invoking operations of a Service Template API, or by invoking other operations being required in the context of a specific service." There are two points confusing me: > 1. Interfaces are only defined in NodeType and RelationshipType in the spec, so "via the interfaces of a Node Template" changing to "via the interfaces of a NodeType or a RelationshipType" is a right way. > 2. What is the "Service Template API"? There is no definitions in the spec. This really confuses me. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
