Hi Jurgen,


Regretfully, the TC process requires 7 day notification to the co-chairs, so one day notice is impossible, I’m afraid. If you wish, we could activate your LOA from October 9-10, thus preserving voting privileges, as you would only miss one meeting, at worst. Please let us know if you wish to alter your request accordingly.


May I also take this opportunity to remind you and others in the TC that the process stipulates a limit on the total number of LOA a person can take in any 12 month period and how they are granted:

“A Voting Member who has already been granted a Leave of Absence during any twelve month period may apply for a maximum of one additional Leave of Absence during the same twelve month period, but a second Leave of Absence during any twelve month period shall be granted only upon formal Resolution of the TC.”

according to the TC process, I would like to inform you that I will be out for  vacation starting October 3rd (public holiday in Germany) and ending October 11th  2013. Therefore, I am requesting a leave of absence for the TC meetings on October 3rd and October 10th  .
