Thank you, Paul. I am familiar with the Portable Plan API and Frank's work but I think that there is no overlapping nor conflict.

This issue requests the ability to reference a property or an attribute of a TOSCA entity (node_template, node_type, relationship, ...) in a relative manner without naming the entity (This can allow reuse and a way to keep the functions usage without change if one renames his entities).
The reference in question is used internally inside the service template, from one entity to another.

I have provided a link to an example of such a use case in the description.
