This proposal is a start towards instance model interaction; however, the WG recognizes that we need to access relationship instances as well (and set its properties, etc.).  In addition, we need to make sure we leverage the existing keywords/semantics (e.g, TARGET, SOURCE, etc.) on these functions where applicable.
