Subject: REMINDER: IMPORTANT INVITATION for TC Members (DEADLINE November 12th): ETSI NFV Workshop

Hi TOSCA-teers,

If you care about NFV and TOSCA (see below), then this meeting is very, very important. Please send Simon and me an email regarding your interest, if only to hold a place (only 3 people from this TC are invited)!

Thanks,

Paul

Subject: IMPORTANT INVITATION to TC Members (DEADLINE November 12th): ETSI NFV Workshop

Hello TOSCA-teers,

Your help is needed! This is a very important opportunity to expand the reach and influence of TOSCA!

The ETSI Industry Specification Group on Network Functions Virtualisation (ETSI ISG NFV) is organising a workshop on information and data modelling to be held January 13-14h, 2016. This workshop will be hosted by CableLabs at their offices in Louisville-Colorado, USA.

* ONLY THREE TOSCA TC representatives invited

* Contact Paul and Simon, if interested by November 12th

Opportunity to deliver presentations and participate related to the workshop goals, which are:

  1. To understand how information models developed by other SDOs relate to the descriptors defined in the ETSI NFV Management & Orchestration framework, (i.e. network service descriptors, VNF descriptors, etc.) and to discuss the operations NFV makes available to manage networks services and virtualized network functions.
  2. To explore if a common approach to information and data modelling could be agreed amongst the participating SDOs and plan/agree specific actions by individual SDOs and/or collaboration actions across SDOs to achieve such goal.
  3. To identify relationships and/or gaps between data models produced by other SDOs and the ETSI NFV descriptors, with the goal of assessing whether and how to fill these gaps.

Thanks,

Paul
