Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (TOSCA-241) Task: See if OASIS will allow us to use "fix" version in TOSCA version strings.

    [ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/TOSCA-241?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=68455#comment-68455 ]

Matthew Rutkowski commented on TOSCA-241:
-----------------------------------------

We have progressed the spec from v1.0 to v1.1 and v1.2 and there has been no need to add the "build version" as part of our string (alias). Therefore, I am closing this issue.

> Task: See if OASIS will allow us to use "fix" version in TOSCA version strings.

> TOSCA has adopted Maven-style versions and we wish to use a "fix" version along with a major.minor version number for our own specification type (definition) versioning. It would be nice if our official OASIS namespace version allowed for this; however, it appears OASIS has only ever assigned major/minor.
> As we move to having open source from OASIS this would seem logical so schema/definitions published by TOSCA would work better with other repositories that use Maven-style versions.
