Subject: RE: [tosca] Groups - VNF_DF_instantiationLevels_policy_type.docx uploaded
Hi Thinh, In my opinion, the Simple Profile should only include mechanisms that can be completely expressed using the TOSCA language. Thanks, Chris From: Nguyenphu, Thinh (Nokia - US/Irving) <thinh.nguyenphu@nokia.com>
Hi Chris, ETSI NFV IFA011 only describes the information model of the VFND. The semantics, event, condition, and detail of usage of these data and policy types are described in ETSI NFV IFA007 (SOL003). SOL001 only covers the data model of the
VNFD. Perhaps, I can provide an example on usage of these policy and data types in Annex as an example at later date. Thinh From: Chris Lauwers [mailto:lauwers@ubicity.com]
Hi Thinh, Thanks for posting this. I have the same question I posed on Tuesday during the YAML meeting: your proposal defines a number of data structures, but I don’t see where the semantics are defined that are associated with these data structures.
Policies in TOSCA currently are imperative policies (meaning they use the Event/Condition/Action pattern). If a TOSCA orchestrator is supposed to be able to process your policies, then I would expect to see TOSCA triggers defined that specify the necessary
events, conditions, and actions. Are you planning on providing those as well? Thanks, Chris From: tosca@lists.oasis-open.org <tosca@lists.oasis-open.org>
