Subject: Re: [tosca] updated operational model

On second thought, I think your diagram might distract us at this point. "A picture is worth 1000 words" and our past discussions of diagrams took a very long time.

If you agree, let's start by being grammar-focused on this issue. I suggested a few times that going over example 2.9.2 (it's short!) and being on the same page there could be helpful moving forward. By the way, I don't expect it to be easy. Therein are the secrets to how a node template is related to its representation(s).

We should check with Philippe, but my understanding is that Cloudnet visualizes templates only.

Sounds good. Iâll allocate time during next weekâs meeting to review. In the meantime, I welcome everyone elseâs comments as well.

Thanks,

I see many problems here -- again, I don't understand how something like Cloudnet could work here because you only allow inputs on Day 1 in relation to provisioning. And generally there are too many indirections with multiple kinds of representations. To me this seems more like the architecture of a specific orchestrator, not a TOSCA operational model. But I'm very tired of email so please walk us through it in the meeting.

Based on the discussions of the last 2 weeks, I made another attempt at a TOSCA operational model. This version largely keeps the building blocks from the previous versions but tries to organize them based on the different phases in the service lifecycle. It also attempts to introduce Day 2 aspects.
