Apologies: Stephen

2/ Minutes of last meeting
http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/trans-ws/event.php?event_id=4583
Andrzej proposed to accept the minutes as a true and accurate record of the last meeting (25 March 2004). Gerard seconded. Minutes accepted.

3/ WSDL/ draft specification
Microsoft is interested in testing the WSDL/web services. However, so far there are no specifics. Gerard expects to have more definite news within two weeks.
It was suggested to use the OASIS registry to host schemas and DTD. Karl Best would have to be contacted to clarify the conditions for this. (Trans-WS already shares some codes with other TCs, e.g. the UBL country codes.)
As all taxonomies are completed, the next step is to upload the information.

4/ UDDI - Follow up from Last meeting
Gerard reported on the UDDI. It currently contains best practice, tech notes, information on how to register and code. It is not a very readable document. Especially the information on how to register has to be clearer and more accessible to make it easier for other companies to register. - Gerard will circulate information on how it is done on Windows server.
It followed a discussion of the meaning of 'status' and 'current state'. 'Status' refers to the whole project, the overall job. 'Current state' refers to the current state of production. The possibility of introducing subcategories for 'current state' was discussed. Peter offered to draw up a proposal together with Andrzej and circulate this to the group.

5/ Face to Face meeting
It was agreed to hold a face-to-face meeting in Dublin on 29 and 30 of April 2004. Peter will coordinate preparations.

6/ Localisation World conference
29 June: pre-conference day
30 June - 01 July: conference
The TC received an invitation to present at the conference and accepts. Peter will coordinate a submission.

7/ Globalization Insider article
Peter will coordinate the writing of an article for the Globalization Insider (LISA Newsletter).

6/ AOB
The LRC will propose a project to the European Union to collect localisation-relevant linguistic data, including tools and technologies, and develop strategies to verify their compliance with localisation-relevant standards. The project will also cover interoperability testing and best practice showcasing. Reinhard will circulate more information on the proposal which is due to be submitted within the next few weeks.
