Sorry to hear that you may not be able to continue to
join us in these projects. Gerard, we certainly appreciate all your
contributions, as well as the camaraderie that I know has been
appreciated by your colleagues in this work, and wish you the best of
luck.
I should mention, however, that no revisions to the
OASIS IPR policy are in force, nor even yet completed. The
member review comments continue to be evaluated by our Board of
Directors, who are taking them into account as they work to finalize the
proposals for revision.

Microsoft Corporation decided to review its committee involvement in
light of the new OASIS IP. I was asked to remain low key while the review
took place, and now that it is done, Microsoft chose to terminate
participations in both. As a result, I reluctantly submit my resignation
from both TCs.
