Hi
all,
I was looking at two
issues for today's meetings and my notes are below.
Thanks,
Peter.
File
upload
This will be an
optional call
The issue of SOAP
attachments is proving to be a complex one and the main issue is that there are
several different ways of implementing this. I think the main ways are using
MIME (Apache/ Java) or DIME (Microsoft) attachments which are sent via SOAP
messages. I think it would be a far too complex task to write alternative WSDL
depending on what sort of attachment is being sent, so I suggest that we leave
this up to those using this specification. We could include example code in the
narrative for File upload.
The fileUpload
call will be no parameter passed in but it will return a
URI.
I have attached a
word doc which shows what I am thinking.
Count
I have discussed how
we should use the count and count-group from XLIFF with Andrzej and he suggested
that we should announce our intention to use this and to copy it from the XLIFF
specification. If this is OK I will go ahead and do this.
Thanks,
Peter.
