Subject: xml:tm approved by LISA OSCAR for public comment

Dear Fellow Committee Members,

The LISA OSCAR Steering Committee has approved xml:tm for public comment
prior to ratification as a standard. xml:tm is in many ways a
complementary standard to DITA and an integral part of the XML
localization landscape. It provides a framework for other standards
(such as SRX, XLIFF, TMX, GMX-V, Unicode TR29 and W3C ITS) to work
together in a unified architecture when localizing XML.

In a nutshell DITA is about reuse at the topic level, xml:tm is about
reuse at the sentence level. Both work together very well.

For more details please refer to:

Best Regards,

AZ
