We had a discussion at the Face to Face meeting. RF on limited terms was the favoured option at this meeting. We will hold a ballot after this meeting.

Translation Web services TC meeting  December 13th 2006

1/ Present Paul, Tony, Peter. 

This meeting was not quorate so we discussed the issues raised by Paul and Martin with their editing of the specification. 

2/ Specification
Debug 
Paul said there appeared to be a number of errors in the XSD file which need debugging. He offered to go through this and try and resolve them. 
Paul has done this.

Generate ticket 
Comment from Pauls mail: A generateTicket function will be need to generate a job ticket. This will be needed as the submitJob / requestQuote functions will be needed to inform the web service that a job is ready to be processed. 
It was agreed this was a good idea as the provider would need to be the originator of the job tickets. There is also the possibility of jobs being associated together through a projecttid 

Multiple languages 
Comment from Pauls mail: A job that has been submitted to the system can only be translated into one language. I think we need to change this so that a job can be translated into multiple languages. 
The issues here relate to how the retrieveJobInformation call and History element would work. It would need to be possible to pass in a language and get the history for that particular language. This would be used for downloading the file. It should be possible to pass in the language, retrieve the status as complete and download a particular language file. Paul agreed to look at this. 
Paul has had a look at this and this can do it at present providing you wrote the code to put the job into folders. It would be nice to be able to specify the languages you want to download

associateResource call 
Comment from Pauls mail: The associateResource function will need to be come a required function. This due to the fact that the uploaded files need to associated to a job. 
This would need to be a required call as it is used to associate a file with the job. 


Language pairs 
Optional attributes of name and description are needed for this. 
Source language, Target language
Job ticket name rather than generated ticket.

retreiveResourceInformation
The specification and the function do not match as it just returns the one job ticket. This should return a list of the Job tickets, Purpose, Original URI and Current URIs

Paul will look at the XSD and Peter will review the specification document. 

3/ Whitepaper
There were no issues raised with this. Paul will look at whether SDL might want to add a case study.
