Interoperability Guidelines

A new whitepaper, "Interoperability Guidelines," has been published by the OASIS Technical Advisory Board (TAB).

 

The whitepaper covers best practices for writing specifications in ways that minimize the risk of interoperability failures between implementations. Specifications can become imprecise for any number of perfectly valid reasons, resulting in gaps in interpretation that become evident once interoperability is tested.

 

"Interoperability Guidelines" points out the most common traps that specification writers can avoid to minimize risk of misunderstanding.

 

The target audience for the white paper is primarily specification writers and TC members.
