Subject: Editing assignments for http://ubl.xml.org

Fellow Adoption SC members,

In today's agenda we addressed editing assignments for members of the
subcommittee and added a new section to the top of http://ubl.xml.org

The following areas (with their brief purposes; please hover over the
area titles in order to see tips regarding the scope of each area)
have been assigned as follows:

- Wiki - factual listings
   - Tony
   - Oriol
- Localization
   - Karsten
- News - timely information
   - Tim
- Events - a calendar
   - Jon
- Products - commercial off-the-shelf products
   - Roberto
- Services - commercial services
   - Martin
- Resources - might be considered as knowledgebase instaead
   - Mikkel
   - Ole
- Forum - for discussion and questions
         - e.g. job postings
   - Mike
- Blogs - journal concept
   - Assuman

Our OASIS guidance and hand-holding is ably being supplied by Carol
Geyer, and she will be posting to the list issues that editors need
to keep in mind.

And, it was decided in the committee to impose a deadline of Friday
April 25 on the first draft of http://ubl.xml.org content by each
editor adding the appropriate content from
http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/tc_home.php?wg_abbrev=ubl-ssc to
their section.

This will then allow us to shut down the old Support SC site, and the
UBL committee will be able to present the new XML.org focus area at
the OASIS meeting at the end of the month.

We are following http://dita.xml.org as a pattern for editors to
consider when creating the first version of the content, and for
their roles as helping contributors contribute information according
to the pattern.

Please post to the list if you have any questions.

Thanks!

. . . . . . . . . . . . Ken
