Thanks for clarifying, Jon.

I think the most significant change is from ":" to "-".

I've explained in my earlier response why this is not just 
significant as an observation, but also not acceptable both 
in terms of observing the spirit of RFC 3121, as well as in 
terms of creating ambiguities in interpretation and parsing.

The other change on the sub-version separator from ":" to "." 
is acceptable.
