Subject: Re: [ubl-dev] Invitation to Participate in Developing a Catalogue Document for Submission into UBL 2.0.

Hi Mikkel,

Just to clarify one thing, is this meeting only open to Oasis members?

Normally one has to be an Oasis member to contribute to these Standards.

Just 20 years ago, businesses were issued with a catalogue from their
Suppliers once a year. It would take about 10 minutes to "manage" the
catalogue. "Put it on the shelf.." for later reference...

Then catalogues started arriving six-monthly, three-monthly and now
weekly.

In the computer industry in Australia, we now have realtime pricing
where prices can change at anytime during the day. All thanks to
xml technology.

We would certainly be interested to see what comes out of these
developments.

Regards

David
