Ending of First Public Review Period for UBL 2.0

The first public review period for UBL 2.0 has now closed.

The UBL Technical Committee would like the thank all of you who took the 
time and effort to review and make comments on the first draft.  In 
total we received 168 comments.

Over the forthcoming weeks the UBL TC will be responding and disposing 
of these comments and this may involve some extra dialogue with submitters.

Our aim is to complete the disposition of comments in time to prepare 
the second draft of the UBL 2.0 specification at our next Plenary 
meeting in Brussels from May 22 to May 26.  At which time we should be 
in a position to respond formally to all your comments and issues.

Following the OASIS procedures we anticipate submitting the second draft 
for a shorter public review period in late June/early July.  This review 
will be primarily to address non-normative components of the specification.

On this schedule (which is very tight) we hope to be able to ratify UBL 
2.0 as an OASIS technical specification in October 2006.
