Subject: VS: [ubl-dev] Order message :: Parties & Delivery

Sorry, I used prd1 vocabulary why I had "/Order/OrderLine/LineItem/DestinationParty". In prd2 the equivalent party is probably the one you mentioned "/Order/OrderLine/LineItem/Delivery/DeliveryParty".

DeliveryAddress was contained in Delivery ABIE in PRD1. DeliveryParty was added in Delivery ABIE in PRD2. DeliveryParty contains a physical address (VisitingAddress) which could be used to deliver goods. For what purpose there is DeliveryAddress in Delivery ABIE? Tim made a proposal, are there other ones?

Regards,

Juha Ikävalko

Stephen may be right but isn't that what Delivery/DeliveryParty and
Delivery/DeliveryAddress (at both Order and OrderLine) describes? Party
is the Retailer and Address is the Terminal?

When ordered items are delivered to a retailer those are in many cases routed through a terminal. In these cases an order must contain information about both parties: a retailer and a terminal. Why? A terminal organizes the delivery based on the retailer information printed on packages by a food industry. Why a free text field is not enough? Retailer information is also processed and used for other purposes.
