Subject: RE: [ubl-dev] Technical descriptions, samples or examples
I too started recently and it took a bit to get me going. Some helpers: - Check out OIOUBL - Denmark's implementation of UBL Closely related to NES, but with their own code lists and subsets. http://www.oioubl.info/classes/en/index.html On the left you have the UBL documents/messages, for example "Invoice", on the right a nice detailed class diagram and example xml on the bottom. - Download UBL Swinger 1.1 http://www.javest.com be sure to get the latest version of the Java Runtimes. File Menu -> Choose UBL Catalog -> cs-UBL-2.0 File Menu -> Choose a Schema From Catalog select the schema you need, for example "Invoice", and there you have a screen where you can create an Invoice. Save it, and you have ab XML file to chek out. You can also open an XML document of the selected schema and it will be validated. Validations are available at the XML menu. You can also look at the reports menu - very useful Crane softrights report. Hope this helps. All the best. _______________________________________________________ Joel Paula Scientia - Análise e Desenvolvimento de Software, Lda. :] www.scientia.pt [: _______________________________________________________ -----Original Message----- From: arorax@gmail.com [mailto:arorax@gmail.com] On Behalf Of Sjoerd van Egmond Sent: terça-feira, 6 de Novembro de 2007 15:50 To: ubl-dev@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: [ubl-dev] Technical descriptions, samples or examples Dear all, the company I'm working for (an enabler for selling printed photobooks) is planning to change their payment-process. I've been looking into several standard xml-formats and and decided that UBL, or maybe NES-UBL, is the right format for us. Also because it enables us to change more of our process to one and the same format. My problem is that I can't seem to find any technical descriptions of the format. I've found quite a lot of higher-level descriptions, but those aren't enough to really implement it. Since I read UBL is widely accepted I'm frustrated I can't find anything about UBL, while for cXML I've found it instantly. Can you please direct me to an online reference with which I have enough information to show my superiors this really is the language we have to use. thank you in advance, -- Sjoerd van Egmond
