Subject: UBL news
Hello UBL developers, Here are some recent UBL news items you may find interesting. - A UBL German Localization Subcommittee has been formed: http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/sc_home.php?wg_abbrev=ubl-delsc The DELSC joins already existing Chinese, Danish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish UBL Localization Subcommittees. Qualified German-speaking business experts interested in creating the German version of the UBL Data Dictionary should contact the chair, Karsten Tolle: karsten.tolle at documentengineeringservices.com - Complete Japanese, Italian, Spanish, Danish, and Slovak translations of the 1900+ definitions in the UBL 2.0 Data Dictionary are now being updated to reflect changes in the recently released UBL 2.0 Update Package. We're still working on obtaining support for upgrading the Chinese and Korean UBL 1.0 translations to 2.0. Versions of the 1.0 Data Dictionary in Hungarian, Lithuanian, and Turkish also exist, but so far we don't have LSCs to take responsibility for upgrading them to 2.0. Anyone interested in forming OASIS UBL LSCs to perform this work should contact me (jon.bosak at sun.com). - The UBL Event Calendar and the materials formerly linked from the UBL Support Page have been relocated to the new UBL Online Community at ubl.xml.org, which is now your "one stop shop" for everything relating to UBL. This list, ubl-dev, will continue as the free public forum for discussion of UBL. Jon Bosak Chair, OASIS UBL TC
