Hello John,
for Direct Debit you can specify additional information on the PaymentMandate ABIE available under the PaymentMeans ABIE.
I would use the ID under PaymentMandate to express a Creditor Identifier that is unique at this level (each payment mandate/direct debit has a unique creditor identifier).

Otherwise if this Creditor Identifier is assigned once to the Creditor by the Bank and reused for different direct debits, then you can use a more generic ID like the one you cited:

cac:SellerSupplierParty/cac:Party/cac:PartyIdentification/cbc:ID

the new European payment regulations (SEPA or "Single Euro Payments Area") require sellers (ie, payees) to officially obtain a so-called "creditor identifier" and cite this id on all invoices (only if they directly debit the payers bank account, "SEPA Direct Debit"). This creditor id identifies the creditor as an organisation, independent from their bank account(s). Lexically, it's similar to an IBAN. 


Where is the correct place to put this creditor it into an UBL invoice document?
