Subject: Re: [ubl-dev] Using DIDs (Decentralized Identifiers) and VCs (Verifiable Credentials) to represent UBL documents

Hi Michael

Iâm interested. I think the hub-hub smp/Sml protocols around peppol are an anachronism.

A VC/DID approach to e-invoicing would be far more scalable, far more secure, far more privacy preserving, and far cheaper to operate

Hi, this is a bit of a teaser âlooking for like minded folks.

Iâm working on a project called the Trusted Digital Web thatâs all about enacting end-to-end trusted business processes on the Internet.  Core technologies/standards include DIDs (Decentralized Identifiers) and VCs (Verifiable Credentials):

As a test, Iâm currently implementing the UBL Invoice schema as a set of linked Verifiable Credentials (where the links, of course, are based on DIDs).  Hereâs a (somewhat opaque and incomplete) example:

If you like to know more âor are simply curious, please drop me an email.

Best regards,

Michael Herman
