Subject: RE: [ubl-hisc] HISC Teleconference 2005-05-10/11
Hello Ken The UneDocs project which was previously run by UN/ECE in conjunction with the SITPRO national version, UNeDocs transferred into UN/CEFACT as of last March. The SITPRO UNeDocsUK work will continue in order to produce a national implementation of the global UNeDocs standard to satisfy UK export requirements. I am attaching some information which will expand on the background of these recent developments. There is, for sure, a continued link between the HISC work and the presentation aspects of the UNeDocs project. Michael and I, as project leaders, would very much welcome the opportunity to discuss future cooperation plans. Perhaps, we could plan to join one of your future conference calls with this as a main agenda point? If this is possible we could jointly develop a more detailed agenda which could include technical issues such as the document presentation standardisation plans for the new UN/CEFACT workgroup, availability of subject matter expertise and possible cooperation. regards Sue -----Original Message----- From: G. Ken Holman We discussed the need for subject matter experts for both input and output projects: Micah is handling the technical bits on the input, Ken is handling the technical bits on the output, we need subject matter experts to help with the mapping. Steve can contribute on this, but we could use more help. We are still awaiting the list of document types, but know the finalized list isn't yet due. No news on the output project side. Still in feedback gathering mode on the input project side. Next HISC teleconference is scheduled for May 31, 2005. . . . . . . .
