Subject: [ubl-lcsc] [Fwd: RE: CIQ and UBL]

Some feedback from the OASIS CIQ group. For discussion at Tuesday's
meeting.

Tim and Jon

Our CIQ team has had a look at your latest Library release.
Though our team does not have enough experience in the areas covered
by this first release of the libraries, we strongly believe that it appears
to be
a pretty good effort in a short span of time. The assumptions you have
made while developing the standard is agreeable and makes sense.

The common question that has been raised by our team is how well have the
developed libraries been tested. What is the planned process to test this?
Do you have a set of real users who will be testing these libraries?

The CIQ team also believes that there are overlaps between what CIQ is
doing (eg. international name and address definition) and what the UBL
team has come up with to represent customer centric data. This is where
we see how CIQ definitions for customer information can be re-used by the
UBL team.

The Election and Voting services TC of OASIS have done the same by reusing
CIQ schemas for representing customer information.

Looking forward to hearing from you

With kind regards

Ram Kumar
CIQ TC
