The only thing LCSC could produce is a normative set of out-of-date code lists,
e.g. the normative LCSC set of last year's currencies.  I just don't see this
working.  As you know, I used to work for a big financial information provider.
My view is that the only solution is to allow dynamic code lists, i.e. code
lists that are updated as required via a Web service or some similar network
protocol.  The provision of such Web services would not come from OASIS or ISO
or such, since these groups aren't in a good position to keep such lists up to
date (arguably ISO could be in such a position, but as it hasn't been in the
past, I don't see why it will be in the future).  I would expect private
companies to provide such lists, possibly for a fee (hopefully low enough to be
broadly accessible).  That's my view, anyway.
