At present the stylesheet will only read enumerations from another XSD and
place them appropriately into a UBL XSD modeled from a given code list's
placebo definition file.

I will adjust the stylesheet to accept an arbitrary XML document from which
enumerated values can be obtained from like-named members. I can pull some
tricks with passed parameters to make it fairly generic. In fact, it
should be generic enough to work with an adjunct file.

As am I.

I'm thinking this need not be canonical but can be any arbitrary XML
vocabulary with a single set of unambiguously addressed elements.

If you mean "can we dispose of the enumeration field from the adjunct
file", I think not since we still need to key off the enumerations to find
the associated information. But then I'm really not sure I understand your
question.
