Subject: Other document reference properties for sizing

Another discussion item was the possibility to add to DocumentReference:

http://docs.oasis-open.org/ubl/os-UBL-2.1/mod/summary/reports/UBL-AllDocuments-2.1.html#Table_DocumentReference.Details

DocumentSizeNumeric 0..1 Numeric The size of the original form of the
                                    file in bytes.

... and to add to Attachment:

http://docs.oasis-open.org/ubl/os-UBL-2.1/mod/summary/reports/UBL-AllDocuments-2.1.html#Table_Attachment.Details

AttachmentSizeNumeric 0..1 Numeric The size of the attachment in bytes.

When the attachment embeds or points to the document in the clear, the two size values are the same. When the attachment embeds or points to the document encoded using a particular syntax, the two size values are different.

While being informational for some users, this is also a first-level integrity check: before attempting to decode an attachment, one could first check that the attachment has the correct size (no use continuing if it isn't), and before checking the document hash of the document in the clear, one could first check that the document has the correct size (no use continuing if it isn't).

Should these be added?

. . . . . . . Ken
