Is it that simple?

I'd like to hear other opinions regarding the detailed argument of 
LocationCoordinate vs LocationRegion I provided here, 10 minutes 
before Andy's post:

Andy, now that you've piped up I won't bother posting this to TSC, 
but the distinction might be very important to TSC.
