Subject: Re: [ubl-psc]: Re: Fulfillment cancellation.odt - ERRATA CORRIGE

Sorry, I wrote "UBL-RemittanceAdvice-2.0-Example" instead of "UBL-ReceiptAdvice-2.0-Example"

:-)

Dear Jon,

please, find enclosed the Fulfiment Cancellation example. I though of it like the cancellation document for the UBL-RemittanceAdvice-2.0-Example already present in the UBL-SGTG-20120208-0230z package. I hope it could be fine.

Best regards
Arianna

(copying to the PSC list so that we have all this in the archive)

Hello Arianna,

Thank you very much for the timely response. It looks like this gives
us everything we need except for the example file and the EA versions of
the diagrams, which I assume will be sent by Peter or Tim. If I receive
those early in the week, I may have time to generate a draft for review
before leaving to attend a meeting in DC 2-3 April. But if that doesn't
work out, please aim for delivery by the end of next week (i.e., by 6
April); I think by that time we will have the remaining TSC issues
resolved as well and can proceed to the final editorial and packaging
work for PRD3.

Best regards,

Jon

Ok, I am trying to provide you with the required inputs.

Obviously, Peter, Joao feel free to correct or improve what I write.

Assuming that the language sent by Joao 23 March is all that is
necessary to say about the Fulfilment Cancellation, I do not yet have:

1. Language explaining why the Fulfilment Cancellation document is
   necessary to have

I think that we can make this starting from inputs Joao provided us.

"In real life is common that the sender of a fulfilment message needs to cancel it (once it has been sent).

A despatch advice may be cancelled by the Supplier when:
- A problem happens with the shipment of goods which prevents the delivery of goods; - The goods to be shipped are not available, the order is cancelled or other events of a similar nature happen. When this happens, the customer will cancel the receipt and installation of the equipment at his premises.

A receipt advice may be cancelled by the Customer when:
- A problem is detected with the delivered item e.g. a missing part or malfunctioning of a piece of equipment or machinery; - A mistake is made by the Customer e.g. formal contractual obligations are overlooked or product identification is not correct.
When this happens, the billing and payment process may be put on hold."

In any case, please find in the enclosed document my idea about possible updates to Chapter 2.7 (in UBL 2.1 specification)

2. A one-sentence description of the Fulfilment Cancellation document
   for the schema summary
A document used to cancel an entire fulfilment document (Despatch Advice or Receipt Advice).

3. An example instance (UBL-FulfilmentCancellation-2.1-Example.xml)

I don't have a real example to produce it but I can try to do it starting from the DespatchAdvice example already present in UBL-SGTG-20120208-0230z

4. Diagrams of the processes "Fulfillment Cancellation with Despatch
Advice" and "Fulfillment Cancellation with Receipt Advice" in
   Enterprise Architect format
Peter made them. Maybe he sent the diagrams to Tim.

5. Appropriate updates to the table of Party Roles

ACTOR: Custome Party
ROLE: Buyer
SENDS: Fulfilment Cancellation
RECEIVES: Fulfilment Cancellation

ACTOR: Supplier Party
ROLE: Seller
SENDS: Fulfilment Cancellation
RECEIVES: Fulfilment Cancellation
Jon

Best regards
Arianna
