Tim,
Thanks for this proposal. I can live with this proposal, but I might suspect that the term “cost” might be open for misunderstanding. From a sellers
perspective there is a difference between the cost of an item and the (sales)price of an item. Based on your descriptions this now becomes an extension of the Price element (which I agree with). Based on that what do you think about the following name : ExtendedPrice?
ExtendedPrice Extended Price. Details Extended Price ABIE An extended price is the price per
unit multiplied by the number of those items.
Amount Extended Price. Amount Extended Price 1 BBIE The price per unit multiplied by the number of
those items, excluding any Allowance Charges.
TaxTotal Extended Price. Tax Total Extended Price 0..n ASBIE The taxes that apply to the extended Price.
I have also slightly changed the descriptions of the elements to reflect this change.
Any comments on this?
Kees
My understanding of the requirement is we need to add this as an optional (0..1) ASBIE to both LineItem and InvoiceLine.
I note Wikipedia uses the term 'extended cost' (In accounting, an extended cost is the unit cost multiplied by the number of those items that were purchased.) So I am proposing that...

In addition, we should add TaxTotal ASBIE to LineItem (0..n) to mirror the structure for InvoiceLine.
