Subject: SV: Re: [ubl-psc] Criterion vs. Criteria

Dear all in UBL PSC

I need a recommendation ASAP to know whether there exist some ABIE that should be kept named CRITERIA instead of CRITERION. Please list those you have knowledge off. As Jon points out it is a matter of Pluralis vs singularis.

Best regards

Peter L. Borresen

Hi Peter,

I can't find the email that explains the final resolution about this topic.

Can you provide me with it?

Thanks!
Arianna

Hang on, some of the ones I listed earlier are actually OK.  The
*document* called ExceptionCriteria is, in fact, usually a collection of
criteria, so that's OK, and the line in ExceptionCriteria called
ExceptionCriteriaLine (though it expresses just one criterion) is
properly the name of a line in ExceptionCriteria (just as InvoiceLine is
a line in the document named Invoice, etc.).  So all of these appear to
be correct:

Exception Criteria Line. Details
Exception Criteria Line. Identifier
Exception Criteria Line. Note. Text
Exception Criteria Line. Threshold Value Comparison Code. Code
Exception Criteria Line. Threshold_ Quantity. Quantity
Exception Criteria Line. Exception Status Code. Code
Exception Criteria Line. Collaboration_ Priority Code. Code
Exception Criteria Line. Exception_ Resolution Code. Code
Exception Criteria Line. Supply Chain Activity Type Code. Code
Exception Criteria Line. Performance Metric Type Code. Code
Exception Criteria Line. Effective_ Period. Period
Exception Criteria Line. Supply_ Item. Item
Exception Criteria Line. Forecast Exception Criteria Line

Some of the others (Forecast Exception Criteria Line?) might also be
exempt; please take a look.
