1600-1700 (Singapore time) THURSDAY 8
SEPTEMBER 2005
ATTENDANCE
Kama (chair)
Tim McGrath
Thomas (CECID)
Ng Siew Wai (CECID)
Jern-Kuan, Leong (CrimsonLogic)
Grace Ng (CrimsonLogic)
- Review conducted on the high-level transport model
that lists out the major components of CONSIGNMENT, which was harmonize
between the COML and DTTN models.
- This model prepared is process-focus. E.g
‘Consignment’ component is linked with ‘Party’
component.
- Discussed on the purpose and usage of each of the
components, and tried to align it to UBL components and terminology,
further fine-tuning the model.
- Suggested ‘Payment Term’ to be changed to
‘Transport Term’.
- ‘Delivery’ component is the same as ‘Arrival’
component in COML (introduced by Tim). Concluded that
‘Delivery’ could be a better terminology to replace
‘Arrival’ component in COML.
- ‘Transport Movement’ in DTTN is the same
as ‘Shipment Stage’ in UBL.
- ‘Cargo Line Item’ is actually referring to
‘Goods Item’ component. ‘Cargo Line Item’ can be
merged with ‘Goods Item’ component.
- ‘Container Line Item’ is actually also
‘Transport Equipment’. ‘Container Line Item’
component may be merged with ‘Transport Equipment’.
- In UBL 1.0 (Procurement Model),
‘Consignment’ component is not available. It’ll
be a new component introduced for the Transport model for UBL2.0.
- ‘Consignment’ can consist of either
‘Goods Item’ or ‘Transport Equipment’.
‘Goods Item’ is used for commercial documents such as
Certificate of Origin, Bill of Lading, etc. Document such as
Forwarding Invoice would be more suitable to use ‘Transport
Equipment’.
- Other Matters:
- US Department of Transport (DOT) indicated interest
to join the UBL-TSC. They’ll contribute their feedback and
comments during the review stage of the Transport Model. Their inputs
will be used for possible enhancement of the Transport model.
