Subject: Re: VL: [ubl-tsc] RE: Additional concall on Wednesday (17/05) - Agenda

Thanks Juha for your comments i will pass them onto the Transportation Subcommittee and we can discuss them on our call today.

Dear McGrath,

TIEKE Finnish Information Society Development Centre has made an examination how the UBL Waybill fulfils the needs of the Finnish transportation industry.

Transportation library lacks two important elements urgently needed on this sector:

1.)          There is a need for an InvoiceeParty. It’s not always a Consignee or a Consignor which will be invoiced. This is common in Finland and also in international transport. This is quite common in sub-manufacturing cases where the process owner wants to steer the supply chain by using his own contracts and partners for transportation.

2.)          There is a need for party-specific references. This need relates to the most of the messages used in Finland. For example, in a waybill there should be a place for a consignor’s, consignee’s and invoicee’s reference. We see that this problem could be solved by adding a generic reference (BBIE or ASBIE) to the Party ABIE and to a header level. RFF segment was used for this purpose in EDIFACT.

Best Regards,

Please find attached the latest issues list and proposed resolutions.  We need to conclude this tomorrow so please review this as it is the last chance to comment on anything that affects the UBL 2.0 final schemas.
