We've now got the phones in Montreal working, but you have to
watch out for one, um, feature of the system in order to get in.
When you dial into either number, the system will say something
like this: "The host has not yet arrived.  If you are the host,
please press the star key."  The trick is to NOT DO ANYTHING --
just hang on.  After about ten seconds of silence, the system will
add you to the conference.  (It may or may not ask you to state
your name before doing so.  There doesn't seem to be any humanly
understandable logic that determines whether it asks or not.  It
also doesn't seem to matter whether you actually say your name
before hitting the pound key after this prompt.)

Both groups will be breaking for lunch soon, but I'll ask them to
keep the phones live so that we don't have to restart.  The group
using the LCSC number will be holding a session on code lists
during its lunch break, so that one should stay live anyway.

After lunch (about 1 p.m. in Montreal), I'll check mail again.  So
if you're still experiencing problems after this point, please
send me mail off the list and I'll do some more troubleshooting.
