Subject: Outcomes of joint calls Friday 2004.03.19

A working group consisting of Tim McGrath, Stephen Green, Michael
Dill, Sue Probert, and Alan Stitzer (with David Kruppke sitting in
as an observer) met from 5-7 a.m. California time; Michael has
summarized the outcomes of that session:

At 7 a.m. the call was joined by Jon Bosak, Anne Hendry, and Mike
Grimley. Outcomes of the joint call that ensued included the
following:

 - It is generally agreed as a matter of fact that the group
meeting in Washington did decide to make changes to the CCT
schema module. Subsequent discussions on this topic have
revolved around the nature and extent of those changes, not
whether the CCT schema module would be identical to the one
that was included in 1.0 Beta.

 - The CCT module continues to use XSD data types.

 - Tim will update the version 9 spreadsheets and send them
together with an updated CC parameter schema to Bill Meadows
for posting on the LCSC site.

 - New schemas will be generated, and after a quick check by
Stephen, they will be sent to Bill for posting on the LCSC
site. It is expected that these schemas will be reviewed not
only by the NDR Q/A team (Mike and Lisa) but also by everyone
   on the UBL TC.

 - A joint meeting will be held next Tuesday 23 March 2004 in the
slot usually reserved for LCSC (7-9 a.m. California time) to
   perform a final schema review.

 - Following that review, I will ask the TC whether there are any
objections to the adoption of the schemas for UBL 1.0. If
there are no objections, we will take those schemas as given.
If there are objections, a special TC plenary call will be held
in the same time slot (7-9 a.m. in California) Tuesday 30 March
to consider this question in formal session. Plenary calls
will continue to be held every Tuesday at the same time as
needed to formally resolve any questions on which we fail to
   reach a consensus.

Jon
