Subject: UBL TC calls 2 & 3 June 2004

Hello UBL TC,

In accordance with the proposal for weekly UBL TC calls (see slide
7 of the Hong Kong plenary report for 14 May 2004), we will be
holding meetings at 15h00 GMT Wednesday 2 June 2004 and at 00h30
GMT Thursday 3 June 2004. The first (or "Atlantic") meeting, to
be held at a time corresponding to 8 a.m. Wednesday in San
Francisco and 4 p.m. Wednesday in London, is scheduled for the
convenience of members in the eastern U.S. and Europe. The second
(or "Pacific") meeting, to be held at a time corresponding to 8:30
a.m. Thursday in Hong Kong and 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Tokyo, is
scheduled for the convenience of members in the western U.S. and
Asia. However, any member of the UBL TC is welcome to attend
either call, and some of us will of necessity be attending both of
them.

If you approve the proposed new weekly meeting schedule, these
will become our regular meeting times, but note that I am calling
these particular meetings next week as UBL TC chair independent of
your approval of that proposal. Note that (for this week at
least) these calls replace any previously scheduled CSC, SC
coordination, NDRSC, and localization SC calls.

The TC calls will each last for no more than two hours and will
use the usual UBL conference bridge:

   #############################################
STANDING INFORMATION FOR UBL CONFERENCE CALLS
   U.S. domestic toll-free number: (866)839-8145
   Int. access/caller paid number: (865)524-6352
   Access code: 5705229
   #############################################

The agenda for each meeting will include at a minimum the
following items:

   Calendar review
   Liaison reports
   Meeting schedules
   Issue tracking
   Action item tracking
   Work team reports

Since we are (I hope) in start-up mode for this new schedule, the
items above should be considered placeholders, though I will
certainly be expecting brief reports from liaisons in attendance
and reports on events in Asia over the previous two weeks. If you
might be expected to report in either of these categories but
can't attend either call, please send a brief note to the UBL TC
list in lieu of a verbal report.

I will post more detailed agendas for these calls by this weekend.

Jon
