Subject: Possible Press Release to Announce UBL as OASIS Standard

-- PLEASE NOTE QUOTE DEADLINE IS THURSDAY, 28 OCT--

OASIS Members:

In the event the Universal Business Language (UBL) is approved as an OASIS
Standard, the Consortium would like to be prepared to issue a press release.
We have targeted Tuesday, 2 November, for distribution.

While OASIS deeply appreciates the contributions of all members to our
technical work, only Sponsor members elect to receive promotional benefits,
such as inclusion in announcements directed to the press. Non-profit
organizations with established liaison relationships with OASIS will also be
included.

The OASIS UBL TC press release, therefore, will include the following
statement:

"Members of the OASIS UBL Technical Committees include representatives of
Accountis plc, ACORD, Asociación Nacional de Fabricantes Autoridad de
Certificació, The Boeing Company, Center for Document Engineering, Denmark
Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation, East Asia Electronic Commerce
Association, General Services Administration, Infocomm Development Authority
of Singapore, Korea CALS/EC Association, LMI Government Consulting, NEC,
NIST, Oracle, PISCES Ltd, PSLX Consortium, SeeBeyond, Sterling Commerce, Sun
Microsystems, University of Hong Kong, US Dept of the Navy, and others."

If your organization's name is listed above and you would prefer *not* to be
mentioned in the press release, please let me know.

*Any* Sponsor member of OASIS may submit a quote in support of UBL's
approval as an OASIS Standard--you do not have to be a member of the OASIS
UBL TC. If you represent a Sponsor member of OASIS, and you would like to
send a quote, please email that to me, including a name and title at your
company to whom the quote can be attributed.

If your organization is not a Sponsor member of OASIS, and you would like to
submit a quote for this press release, please contact Scott McGrath
(scott.mcgrath@oasis-open.org) immediately for information on upgrading your
membership to take advantage of this promotional benefit.

For details on UBL see:

http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/ubl

**Our absolute deadline for accepting Sponsor quotes for the press release
is COB Thursday, 28 Oct.**
