Subject: Re: RE: [ubl] Summary Spreadsheet of Issues for UBL 1.1 Schemas
Greetings Appreciating Mark's comprehensive comments, I've just a couple of responses, the one I'd emphasise being the first: 1. Q7a Redeclaration (eg http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ubl-ssc/200503/zip00002.zip) seems to be the only way to allow addition of elements to any ABIE and to multiple ABIEs, even to both an ABIE and an ASBIE which it contains. I found you can't use XSD import/extension to add elements to a complexType as well as to another container element within that type. The second extension changes the namespace of one of the contained elements and this prevents extension in the containing type. 2. Q10 - request for sample code - please see same sample as mentioned above (http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ubl-ssc/200503/zip00002.zip). It shows the sdt:UBLAmount modified in a backwards compatible way so that whereas in 1.0 it had "fixed=0.3" for the codelist version attribute, in this modification it has codelist version with a value of 0.4 but no longer fixed. If it were fixed it would break backwards compatibility in that 1.0 instances including it (although it is optional) would have value '0.3' which would render them invalid (i.e. not '0.4', the new fixed value). The sample show that the relevant fixed value attributes occur in two places - both in the SDT Schema and in the Currency Codelist Schema.
