Two UBL SBS Completed Packages

Greetings UBL TC members

This is to inform the TC that the Small Business Subscommittee
now have two complete packages ready for internal review.
I am just waiting a week for any objections from the SBSC to
these going forward to the TC with recommendations that they
be progressed to a possible committee draft vote.

The first draft now posted to the SBSC Documents site

is the Small Business Subset (SBS) for UBL 2 prd2. If for some reason
there needs to be some delay in progressing this package further
there are two possible improvements that might be made;
1. improvements to subset XPath documents format
2. any content changes necessary due to any content changes in
UBL 2.0 following public review comments

The second draft package

is a proposed revision release subset (version 2.0) for UBL 1.0
to reflect
1. improvements in content requirements following reviews by
JPLSC and others
2. reflection of changes in the subset as it has been adapted for
UBL 2.0
3. efforts to align document type subsets to use one single common
(in this case 'Reusable') version of the library model and schema
- this is to allow inclusion of a single set of 3WC XML Schema files
adapted to the subset for those who prefer the contstraints to be
presented in this format (the XPath files are still the normative
expression of the subset definition).

The changes needed to the Universal Business Process files to
include in these the new subsets are in progress and near completion
and can be submitted later, as two packages 'UBP 1.1' (for the proposed
UBL 1.0 SBS 2.0) and 'UBP 2.0' (for the UBL 2.0 SBS).

Please would the TC consider progress of these (including the UBP
updates) packages at the Montreal Plenary as indicated in recent
meetings minutes as part of the supplementary packages scheduling.
It may be that final versions of the SBS packages will be submitted
during or shortly after the plenary, subject to SBSC consent.
